Jamis stick with welded steel frames, because these bikes are built for the harsh reality of the streets, where there’s no room for lightweight alloys and carbon—those are fine materials for racing bikes and boutique fixies, but they can’t hold up to the knockabout world of bike racks, potholes and sewer grates.
